Security Measure?
My account was recently hacked, and I lost a good deal of wealth, all accounted for roughly equaling 800k in gold, dyes, runes, mats, etc.
This got me thinking, would extra security measures, say, a PIN for storage (works(ed) extremely well in Runescape) to help us keep our hard-earned (or in some cases, ebayed) cash and items safe from the malign, be practical? Discuss.

I've never been hacked (knock on wood) but I wouldn't be opposed to such a thing. I can see it being a smidge annoying but much less annoying than the alternative (if I got hacked and lost a lot of stuff).

I don't think it would work. How did you get hacked? Keylogger? If so the keylogger would pick up your pin as well.

not if it was a button-style instead of keyed entry, and I'm not sure how I was hacked. I keep my computer as secure and clean as I possibly can, and no one knows my account information. My account is tied to my school email, so the theory is that there is someone on campus who hacked me through the network.

Would be fine by me.... provided we only had to unlock once per log-on... and not every single time we went to storage.

agreed. only have to put the pin number in the first time you go to the storage. or maybe once per character. just in case.

By button style, I assume you mean a soft-keyboard. Keep in mind there are screenloggers that capture screenshots and send them so they can see what numbers you clicked on.
I wouldn't mind if they did add one, but keep in mind it's no safer than any regular hard-keyboard passwords.

With the limits on carrying capacities and storage (even with the upgrade) there is no way you can guarantee this will prevent accounts getting hacked.
Therefore the extra time and effort, to code and to use in game, for little to no improvement in security doesn't warrant this kind of change.
